February is such a short month, it’s not even worth saying it flew by. Because clearly, it did. This month, I’m trying out some new hair products and still on the hunt for the best red lipsticks. (I’ve been a bit obsessed with lipsticks lately, so let the rouge hunt continue!) Here are my February beauty favorites.
Where has this product been all of my life?! I am horrible at teasing, but since I have pretty fine hair, it’s necessary. And I’m really not the best at it. But this Redken Quick Tease Backcombing Finishing Spray , which does exactly what it sounds like it does, is pretty fabulous. Spray at your roots for some added texture, tease and voila, marvel at the fullness.
I can’t seem to commit to one lip color I adore so lipsticks with buildable color have been high up on my wants list. This Boots No7 High Shine Crayon in Statement does just that. It’s moisturizing, has just the right amount of sheen and can look fairly sheer with a tint to a light red if you apply enough. Oh yeah, it’s under $10. Win.
Sunscreen/moisturizer combos tend to be greasy and smelly. I’m not convinced that the SPF that comes in powder or foundation is nearly enough and sunscreen solo is just not happening! But Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 has a good amount of SPF (if it’s under 10, it’s barely worth bothering), doesn’t smell, isn’t greasy and does exactly what a primer promises: creates a perfect canvas for me to apply my makeup on. Loving this.
Another great bet to try: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. It’s the perfect lightweight product for the upcoming summer months.
I’ve mentioned before that every time Maybelline comes out with a new mascara I MUST try it. I’m a Maybelline mascara addict, because they truly have the best brushes and the best formula. Maybelline Lash Sensational did not disappoint. I was put off at first by how thin the brush is as I usually prefer a nice thick brush, but this really lets you get to every single, tiny hair. The formula itself is very, very black and glossy, which I love. I was pleasantly surprised how much I loved it considering the brush has such super fine bristles. It also has a nice slight curve to it.
I have a few moisturizers on my daily rotation, and one that I’ve recently added is the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. I use this moisturizer when my skin is feeling like it needs a little extra pampering and moisture than usual. It’s anti-aging and has a nice light and creamy texture to it.
So that’s what I’m crushing on this month, what about you? Have you tried any of these beauty products?
