With the Sephora VIB sale starting (save 15% off EVERYTHING!!!) and Nordstrom Spring Beauty Trend Event happening this Saturday at Scottsdale Fashion Square, I’ve got spring beauty on the brain!!
If you’ve never been to the latter, it is SUCH a fun morning to catch up on the latest beauty trends. They do a big fashion show, gift bags, giveaways, makeovers and reps from the top beauty brands come in to talk all about the spring beauty trends. It is VERY informative and a good way to really understand the latest trends, how to wear them and what’s new with products, too. I went with my mom last year and I highly recommend it. I was really surprised at how thorough it was–it was a BIG event! (RSVP and find a Trend Show near you here.)
Until then, here’s a peek at some of my favorite spring 2018 beauty trends!
My Favorite Spring 2018 Beauty Trends
Luminous Cheeks
People often associate “luminous” with “shiny” and that’s so not true! Luminous is a very fresh-faced “healthy” glow. That post-workout model sheen that can be achieved with some great highlighter and product layering.
Personally, I love the Kjaer Wes cream blush to achieve this look. You just dab it on and the coverage is buildable. Plus, the compact is ultra luxurious and refillable!
Bright Lips
I used to fear lipstick but now I can’t live without it! It’s such an easy way to update any look and make you feel just a little more “done”, so I’m happy to see bright lips are one of the top spring 2018 beauty trends.
For spring I’m loving all the pretty pinks. You can’t go wrong with YSL Rouge Volupté. A personal favorite pink of mine is MAC Lustering. It’s like a poppy pink and I always get compliments when I wear it!
Shiny Pout
Speaking of lips, a shiny pout is another one of my favorite spring 2018 beauty trends. While matte is still in, the opposite (high shine) is too! This season there’s lots of freedom to do what you prefer.
Glowing Skin
Healthy glowing skin is still in and it’s easy to see why! I love this look because it’s more about taking care of your skin and the skincare products you use, rather than layering on a bunch of makeup. Yes, you can get “glowing” skin with highlighters, illuminators and foundation but a healthy skin glow is nice too.
Right now, my absolute favorite product for this is the Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+ (hello, Kate Middleton is a fan!). It’s affordable, certified organic and just two to three drops gives my skin a super healthy glow. I also love Bioeffect EGF Serum. It is on the pricey side but a little goes A LONG way and every time I use it overnight I wake up with glowing skin.
