The Sparkle Bar is Arizona’s first full-service makeup studio with no retail component, so you won’t feel guilted into buying a lipgloss on the way out like when you book an appointment at a makeup counter. The gals work with a variety of high-end lines like Makeup Forever, Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, MAC and Kat Von D so if you do fall in love with a product, you can head right over to Nordstrom or Sephora on the way home.

But for The Sparkle Bar to even open its doors, there was an uphill battle to fight; co-founders Leiah Schepbel and Alexandra Bradberry had to challenge an Arizona law that stated only licensed cosmetologists or aestheticians could offer professional makeup service application in a storefront setting. They helped get SB1320 passed and now the game has completely changed.

From airbrush makeup and false lashes to a quickie “eye and cheek” fix, there’s a variety of makeup services on the menu to suit your needs. It’s a cute spot for a GNO party (you can even bring in your own bubbly!!) or the artists can be booked to come to your home/on-location. Prices range from $20 to $150 (full menu here) so it’s super affordable, too.
