SKINCARE MISTAKES

You're Probably Making

Not Removing Your Makeup

Sure you wash your face at night, but do you remove your makeup beforehand? Make sure you're gently removing all of your makeup before using a facial cleanser. You can do this with a double cleanse by starting with an oil-based product. Or, try a makeup remover prior to cleansing.

Incorrect Skincare Layering

So you've got a bunch of serums and potions, but are you layering them in the correct order?  Make sure you layer from lightest to heaviest so your skin can soak in all of the serum's benefits.

Over Exfoliating

Exfoliating can be a great way to remove dead, dry skin cells. But overdoing it can dry out your skin and harm the skin barrier. Start with a gentle exfoliator once a week until you find a routine that works for you.

Using Too Many Products

When it comes to your skincare routine, oftentimes less is more. You don't need a 17-step routine for excellent results. In fact, mixing too many serums can lower the efficacy of your products. Pick 1 or 2 favorites that target multiple issues and simplify your routine.

Waiting to Apply Moisturizer

Don't wait until your skin is 100% dry to apply your moisturizer or hyaluronic acid serum. To lock in your moisture, do it when your skin is slightly dewy.
