These are the HOTTEST Spring 2025 Shoe Trends You Need to Know
I’m breaking down all the must-know shoe trends for Spring 2025 in this week’s post. From classic silhouettes getting a modern update to some surprising comebacks, there’s something for everyone this season.
Head’s Up: Pointy-Toe Shoes are Back
First up, we’re seeing a major return to pointy-toe shoes and almond-toe heels. While these aren’t exactly new trends (they’re pretty timeless!), they’re especially relevant right now because they pair perfectly with one of our biggest ongoing trends: wide-leg jeans and trousers.
This trend isn’t just limited to heels – we’re seeing lots of pointy-toe flats and boots, too.
If you’re not a fan of super pointed toes , there are plenty of almond toe options that offer a more subtle take on the trend and typically provide more comfort with a roomier toe box.
I personally think the look is so pretty, prim and proper, especially when paired with wide-leg silhouettes or dresses and skirts.
For a more casual take, try slingback flats, which are still going strong from last season!

The Return of the Peep-Toe (Yes, really)
Love it or hate it, peep toe shoes are making a comeback – but with a modern twist.
Unlike the early 2000s versions, we’re seeing new interpretations with elevated cutouts and fresh silhouettes.
Major designers like Prada, Miu Miu, and Tory Burch showcased these on their runways, typically styling them with skirts and dresses.
If you’re hesitant about the traditional peep toe pump, try a more approachable sandal version like some of these cute styles.
I found some great options at Mango under $60; these would look great styled with a pair of straight-leg jeans.
Colorful Suede Sneakers
We’re officially in our suede era, friends! While we’re used to seeing suede in boots and loafers, it’s now expanding into unexpected territories – particularly sneakers.
What’s more, these suede sneakers are in all sorts of colors from blues and pinks to greens, purples and basically every color under the sun.
You’ll also notice these sneakers are a more slim, retro silhouette. Style them with your favorite wide-leg trousers or jeans!
All About The Red Sneaker Trend
Speaking of colorful sneakers, red is reigning supreme.
Red is literally THE color of the season when it comes to shoes, and here’s the twist – it’s being worn as a neutral!
I know red doesn’t scream “neutral,” but it look great styled with everything from black and white to denim, gray, and khaki.
You’re not limited to cherry red either; brick red and burgundy are equally on-trend.
While it’s definitely a statement shoe, it’s typically styled more casually to add that perfect pop of color to an otherwise normal outfit.

Charming Sneaker Accessories
Sneaker accessories are having a major style moment.
We’re talking ribbon laces, chiffon details, charms, and even “shoe jewelry.”
You can go all out or keep it minimal – it’s totally up to you!
I recently got my daughter some accessories for her sneakers, and it was absolutely adorable.
The Return of the Riding Boot
If you’re still in boot season (as many of us are), you’ll be happy to know that knee-high boots are still going strong, with a particular emphasis on flat riding boots.
This is such a practical trend and I’m thrilled to see it back in style.
To modernize the look, pair them with an oversized blazer or try a chic all-black style.

Animal Print Everything
No surprise here – animal print is a major shoe trend for 2025, following the overall animal print trend in fashion.
If you’re hesitant about wearing animal print clothing, shoes are a perfect way to try out the trend.
I always treat animal print as a neutral – it goes with everything!
Sculptural Heels
Last but not least, we’re seeing a lot of sculptural heels.
These aren’t your basic stilettos or block heels – they feature architectural details and unique shapes. This trend works especially well in heeled sandals and pumps, where the unusual heel shape adds an artistic element to classic silhouettes.
Other Shoe Trends to Watch
A few other trends worth mentioning:
- Clogs (though I personally don’t get the appeal!)
- Mary Janes, especially with two or even three straps rather than one
- Wedges (a springtime classic that never really goes out of style)
Remember, trends are meant to be fun and interpreted in your own way. Pick what works for your style and lifestyle, and don’t feel pressured to try everything!
