Do’s and Don’ts of Wearing Knee-High Boots
Are we still tucking in our jeans into boots in 2025?
A common question I hear is whether wearing boots tucked into skinny jeans is still stylish for 2025. The answer: Yes and no.
What we’re not doing is tucking super-skin-tight jeans into our boots, and styling it with an oversize tunic, felt hat and infinity scarf.
What we ARE doing is modernizing the look. Think boxy tops or oversized blazers to balance the look. Skinny jeans can still work, but choose some that aren’t skin-tight.
You’ll also want to avoid those baggy or flared jeans unless you want that awkward bunched-fabric look.

Texture-wise, suede is making a bold return for 2025, so it’s a fantastic material to explore if you want to stray from classic leather.
PRO TIP: Remember to weather-proof your boots, particularly if they’re suede! A little TLC goes a long way in ensuring your boots last for years to come.
Don’t forget to experiment with color. Black, nude, and brown are essentials, but you can take your game up a notch with bold statement colors. Burgundy is trending for 2025, and there are plenty of beautiful burgundy boots!
Just remember, bold colors can be tricky, so consult a color wheel or stick to a monochromatic palette for an easy, elegant look.
