20+ Gorgeous Ways to Wear a Midi Skirt
When it comes to skirt trends, midi skirts are one of the prettiest.
They’re ladylike, they’re timeless and they’re perfect for sooooo many occasions.
They’re also comfortable and easier to style than you think!
Not feeling so sure? Here are 17 ways to style a midi skirt that will make this skirt your new favorite fashion piece.
What Length is a Midi Skirt?
Just like the name suggests, a midi skirt isn’t quite “mini” length and it’s not a maxi length either. (See here for how to style a maxi skirt.)
The latter would hit your ankles and a midi skirt typically comes below your knees but above the ankles.
For this reason, some people find the midi skirt a little tricky to style. But it’s much easier than you think, and such a chic look!
20 Gorgeous Ways to Wear a Midi Skirt
Keep Proportions in Mind
A flowy skirt will look great when paired with a more fitted top. You can do this with a knit top, a bodysuit or crop tops, too.
This knit top is a great way to style a midi skirt in the winter, and is holiday perfection!
Style a Denim Midi Skirt with Boots
The denim midi skirt is a major spring fashion trend. And you can easily wear a midi skirt in the fall or winter months with some cute boots.

Keep it Simple
A midi skirt tends to be dressier by nature, but it looks just as lovely paired with a cotton top or casual tee.
How to Wear a Midi Skirt in Winter
Pairing a midi skirt with a slouchy sweater is a fashion-forward look, but it can be hard to pull off.
To style it right, try slightly tucking in your sweater to create some structure and shape. Stay away from overly bulky sweaters and don’t do a straight-across tuck as this can create some bulk at the waist.
This is a great way to style your midi skirt in the winter that’s on-trend and will keep you warm!
Embrace a Monochomatic Look
Try a head-to-toe monochrome look, it’s effortlessly stylish! Hint: put this together with varying fabric textures. This look works year-round!
It’s also one of my best-kept secrets to making any outfit look more elegant, and expensive.

Heels, sandals, a cute top and maybe even a skinny belt like this look is all you really need.
Pair Your Midi Skirt with Booties
Yes, you can wear a midi skirt with ankle boots! Even a pleated midi skirt like this one.
