Good beauty products don’t have to cost a fortune. Which is why I teamed up with CVS Pharmacy to show you some of my favorite drugstore beauty buys of 2016. From their wall of lashes and beauty tools (more than 200 lash and beauty implements from Beauty360, Revlon, Tweezerman and more) to their exclusive-to-CVS brands, there is so much good stuff to choose from.
What’s more, I’m giving ONE lucky winner a $100 gift card to CVS so they can enjoy their own beauty shopping haul!! Enter to win at the end of the post below.
Drugstore Beauty Must-Haves
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water
A lot of bloggers have been raving about the Garner SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water–and for good reason! I had to see what all the fuss is about and ladies, I must say this product is a total game changer. It promises to remove dirt and makeup better than most brands and it does just that. I used a makeup cleansing wipe which came out clean and then followed it up with this Micellar cleaning water and even more dirt and grime was picked up. So gross, but so good! I love to use this with CVS’ Beauty 360 premium cotton pads which are oversized and oh-so-soft. (P.S. The cleansing water is currently 25% off right now here.)
Olay Regenerist Night Recovery Cream
One of the top dermatologist-approved drugstore beauty must-haves is the Olay Regenerist line, which is why the Olay Regenerist Night Recovery Cream and Olay Regenerist Microsculpting Serum are both a part of my regular skincare routine. If you’re not sure which to try, go with the night cream. It makes my skin crazy-smooth.
Roc Retinol Correction Deep Wrinkle Cream
For anti-aging, I use Roc Retinol Correction Deep Wrinkle Cream. I use this every other night so my skin doesn’t get dry or irritated and layer this under my Olay Regenerist Night Recovery Cream. You could also use it on its own.
Hylamide Low-Molecular HA Hydration Booster
Speaking of avoiding dryness, for an antioxidant boost (and added moisture) you must try Hylamide‘s range of serums. I had never spotted this line before until I popped into CVS recently and was instantly sold when I saw Hylamide is packed with FIVE forms of hyaluronic acid compounds, which we all know is fantastic for plumping, hydration and restoring skin’s elasticity. I started using this over my Olay Regenerist serum when my skin needs just a tad more moisture and it seems to drink this right up.
CVS also has smaller sample sizes of this so you can try it before committing to a full-size bottle! In fact, I found an entire range of travel-size beauty products at CVS which are convenient for travel but also great when you want to try something new with a small commitment. There are also some seriously tempting beauty favorites near the checkout line like makeup wipes, travel-size Essie bottles and Fekkai glossing cream (another personal favorite). Good luck checking out without picking up even more beauty items!
Makeup Academy Lip Scrub
Lip scrubs can be expensive, and they really don’t need to be. I love Makeup Academy’s sugar lip scrub (just $5!!), which you just swipe on and rinse off for instantly smoother lips. Makeup Academy is one of many exclusive-to-CVS beauty brands, which also includes lines like Nuance by Salma Hayek (get the lip gloss, it’s amazing), Beauty360, Wilma Schumann and more.
